Net income from the Barnum Ball totaled $26, 563.00. The Ball Committee thanked all the members who assisted. Comments received on the Ball were that everyone enjoyed the dancing, and we should get more corporate or small business sponsorships next year.

“Once on This Island” is a musical being presented on March 13 (7:00 PM) and 15 (1:00 and 7:00PM) at BMS with all proceeds going to the foundation. Teachers and community members make up the cast and crew for the most part. The foundation will be selling water, cookies, and candy at intermission.

The board is undertaking a two year calendar to plan for specific ways we will fundraise and plan. Members brought up the idea of doing the “Honor the Teacher” at the end of the school year and to do something for “Teacher Appreciation Week.”

The board awarded St. Mary’s School $1,950.00 for their “Signature Project.”

The Board was very sad to accept the resignations of Gary Gizowski, Deana Chamberlin, and Janice Stevenson. All of these people gave time and talent to the foundation at a critical time, and we are very grateful to them all for working hard toward the success of the foundation.

The board appointed Filomena Weiner as a director and treasurer of the Bethel Education Foundation.

Sean Fallon will represent St Mary’s as an ex-offico member of the Board in place of Sister Ann attending the meetings.

The board appointed Sallita Ballard as Vice Chairperson for the foundation.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 27, 7:30 pm
